Hello, we are an African company that has just est an office in NYC we would like some ideas on what we can use as promotional gifts when sending our brochures to potential customers. We import handmade african crafts like coasters, clay pots, woven baskets etc. We are targeting a couple retailers and gift shops and would like to send them something to introduce the company.

Answer:

When I think of your product line I think of handmade and color. If you were to send something out with your name on it with a tagline, something like 'All are products are handmade' or 'Handmade for your special clients','There's nothing like handmade' or something along that line, then I have an idea. The products I selected the colorful nail files , the green tea hand lotion and the smaller size citrus hand lotion , all have that kind of tie in. The one that I like the best is the garden glove .

It has a great imprint area for your message and what client wouldn't love a colorful pair of gloves to protect their hands to dig in the dirt? And who are they going to be thinking of while digging in the dirt? The person/company that gave them the wonderful, useful gift.

Hello Heather, Thanks for knocking on my door. I used to specialize in selling environmentally friendly promotional items so I know the lay of the land pretty well. My favorite product for your purpose would be the sawdust note paper tray.

When you pass them out you get to tell the story and watch the amazement of the receiver in taking in the fact that the note holder was made from sawdust. It will leave a message of creativity and thinking out of the box in the minds of your prospective clients. Shelia, You have a very interesting challenge. I would seriously look at a computer calendar. They are printed to start in Jan or mid year, which would be perfect for your pr. You can customize colors or use the standard red, black and white. There is good ad space in the center for you to put your logo and tagline of what you specialize in. Here is the best part, you will stay front and center in front of your potential clients all year because everyone loves to attach the calendar to their keyboard. The only problem, and it is a good one to have, people will ask you for another one next year!
