Inc. Magazine Recognizes Industry Companies
Small business focused publication Inc. recently released its prestigious Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States. For the 2007 version, the magazine expanded its list to recognize the Inc. 5000. And more than a dozen industry companies made it to the expanded list.

Absorbent Ink. (asi/295819) made it to the traditional list of 500 companies, coming in at number 216 with a three-year revenue growth of 1,028.3%. “It’s an honor to be included in Inc.’s list of fastest-growing private companies,” says Lee Eldridge, president of Absorbent Ink. “This shows how strong the entrepreneurial spirit is today. Small business really drives the economy.”

To be eligible for Inc.’s list, companies had to be U.S.-based, privately held, and independent (not subsidiaries of larger organizations). The list was created and ranked according to the companies’ three-year revenue growth between 2003 and 2006. Revenue in 2003 must have been at least $200,000, and revenue in 2006 must have been at least $2 million.
