Considering all of the companies competing for business at a trade show, it's easy for the customer to become overwhelmed on the trade show floor. The tendency is for exhibitors is to go bigger, flashier and louder, but this is not the smartest way to grab a customer's attention. The secret to an effective trade show display is to establish a simple message that instantly conveys the purpose of your product or service. Before you create a trade show display, it's necessary to learn more about the booth environment. The size of the booth, positioning on the floor, amount of accessible wall space and electricity will all play a role in the setup. The goal of a trade show booth is to invite the customer in for a closer look at your product. Try not to block off access to your product with anything that is perceived as a barrier such as a display board or table. You only have about three seconds to make an impression. So, you've got to make the most of this very brief window of opportunity. Customized promotional products are a great way to draw traffic to a trade show booth . Items with your logo will also remind the customer of his or her visit to your booth. It's preferable to distribute promotional items by hand, rather than leaving them out for people to take. Handing out the promotional item gives you an additional time to pitch your services. Effective trade show displays visually represent the product and company with a clear and concise message. Colors and graphics should be eye-catching, but not overbearing. A little can go a long way, even on a crowded trade show floor.
